ABOUT USThe Moorlanders MCC is best known for its annual Egg Run, held each Easter Sunday and starting from Davidstow Airfield, near Camelford, North Cornwall. This is our main charity event of the year, and it attracts around 500 bikers to bring along Easter eggs and a donation for local special needs charities. The Egg Runs started around 13 years ago, and from meeting to organise the event, the Moorlanders MCC was formed in 2001. The Club has been through highs and lows in member numbers. We currently have a small but active group, and are seeking new members with fresh ideas and enthusiasm to build the Club. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday evenings of each month, around 7 pm at the Kings Head, Altarnun, just off the A30. Sometimes this is just a social get-together, but we like to make the most of the beautiful area in which we live - so we organise local ride-outs and attend local events. Please contact us before coming along in case we're riding out earlier than 7. You can see what we're planning for the year by looking at our Events Calendar. Here's some links to a few of the events we took part in last year: CMCC Classic Bike Show MAG Devon Yer Tiz Rally MAG Action Now EU Protest Ride We keep active during the winter months, still meeting at least twice a month for socials, planning meetings for the Egg Run and the Christmas meal of course ;) |
